Do you ever fall into a trap of comparison? Grading yourself to other wives, mothers, business owners, employees, ministry leaders, etc? I have. I can compare myself to other communicators all day long. As I have recently committed myself to scripture memory, I came across this verse too good not to share with others who fall into a similar trap. It's found in Galatians 6:4 "Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else."
Comparing ourselves to others will always lead to depression and desperation. God created you to be uniquely YOU. Running another's race will leave you out of breath and gasping for air.
So look to your own work, marriage, ministry, and family. Pay careful attention to it. You'll find the satisfaction you're looking for. And live the life God has for YOU! After all, "Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives!" Galatians 5:25
