“Do you really BELIEVE I am your Healer? Because if you don’t, you need to stop saying you do.”
On Monday I was listening to Joy FM and I heard DJ Kim Underwood talking about the recent surgery she had on her foot. She mentioned that she had encountered some complications during her healing process and was talking to someone about it. She said as she was sharing her situation that it was like the Lord impressed upon her heart that she was either going to BELIEVE God was her Healer - or she wasn’t. Like God was asking her, “Do you really BELIEVE I am your Healer? Because if you don’t, you need to stop saying you do.”
This struck my soul down deep. Why? Because I can completely identify.
I mean, we call Him our Deliverer - but then we wonder if He will actually deliver.
We call Him our Healer - but then we worry if He will actually heal us.
We call Him our Shepherd - but then we doubt His ability to actually lead us.
We call Him our Ever Present Help - but then wonder if He has abandoned us along the way.
Truth be told, I think challenging circumstances have a way of clarifying what we really believe about God. Don’t miss this powerful faith defining truth here - either we are going to BELIEVE God IS who He says He is, or we should stop saying we do.
I choose to believe, what about you?
