Welcome to Altered Ministries!

I’m Jayne, and it is so good to have you visit our page!

In 2017, my friend Jessica Smith and I were driving back and forth from ministering at the Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center. In case you might not know, this is a maximum security women's prison in Vandalia, MO.  We would talk about how we could see the Lord radically transforming the lives of those incarcerated there. Because we are two girls who were raised in a typical church setting, our hearts began to beat for the women we knew who were sitting in the pews next to us. So many of our sisters in Christ were living in emotional, spiritual, mental prison cells within their own hearts and minds and we wanted them to experience the same life-altering freedom that our friends inside the literal prison were. Altered Ministries was birthed as we believe that women are “altered” and transformed in the presence of Jesus!  After some discussion, we had the wild idea to host a local women's conference and bring in gifted speakers to encourage and equip the women who would attend. We were so honored when we found ourselves scrambling for more parking spaces having the doors nearly bursting open with all who attended our first ever Altered Conference at CrossHaven Church in O’Fallon, Mo.  The reviews were amazing as the Lord showed up and ministered in a mighty way to all of those who attended.

In 2018, by God’s grace we hosted 3 more conferences at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal, Mo., Creekside Place Church in Warrenton, Mo., and most profoundly on the actual prison campus in Vandalia, Mo. that launched Altered Ministries!

In  2019 we will be hosting a fall women’s conference at The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge, Mo. The theme is “Deeper Still” as we believe the Lord is always calling us to go deeper in our walk with Him. We are excited to follow His lead to know Him more intimately, serve Him more purposefully, and to love those He loves more intentionally. Let’s go deeper together friends - there is still so much more to discover in our walk with our Savior!

Jayne Patton holds a deep love for the global and diverse body of Christ followers. She believes in crossing over denominational lines to bring the gospel in a way that is powerful and relevant.  Her prayer is that God uses her personal presentation style to bring others to a deeper level of understanding of the scriptures.
